FINALLY got out to take pictures again!

I had a blast with Dez, but out of 102 photos I kept 30 and a few of those were only cause I'm her Mom.  :D  Anywho, here's a few I've edited and will probably re-edit.  Her skin always looks SO grey! :( Grr!

In a slump...

Between a lack of time and an increase on seeing how good everyone else is coming along I've really got myself into a slump here.  I want to practice and improve, but I find myself with a lack of subjects and time.  My daughter's SO ready to not be my practice anymore and I feel for her.  I get SO annoyed with missing focus.  I'm finally getting the hang of getting the exposure much closer to right in camera rather than trying to fix it afterward in PP.

Maybe I'll get some good practice this weekend for Halloween.  *sigh*

Well, it's just been nuts...

Husband is on vacation so we're doing our best to "do nothing".  It's rather boring and it means that homework and housework pile up rather quick like.  I did go take my daughter to a new park the other day though and really enjoyed taking pictures there.  Some came out nice and some were just crap.  I guess that's the way it goes sometimes.  I'm getting better with the focus and exposure.  I'm having to do a lot less PP to the images which is encouraging. 

We've got to get my husbands car fixed today so it doesn't leave much time for photos, but you know me... I'll try to squeeze it in there.  :D  Ah well!  Hope you all are having a good week!

Well, I napped through the car show...

I was planning on going to a car show after the game this morning to get some great pictures, but that just didn't happen.  (Oops.)  I fell asleep with my 2 year old and he slept for quite a while.  Oh well.  I was trying out my new found knowledge this morning at the game.  I think I got a couple good shots.  There wasn't a whole lot of action this morning though.  Hard to get to the girls without the rope being right in the middle.

My first blog entry....

Wow, I have no idea how to do this and that's absolutely amazing because I could totally talk someone's head off.

It's late, I'm tired and I have to take my daughter to cheer at a 9am game in the morning.  What ever happened to kids sleeping in on Saturday or watching cartoons til 11?  HA!  I think my kids will never do that.  Then again, who knows.

Both of my children tend to shy away from the camera now that Mommy has pretty much gone nuts.  (:D)  I love to take pictures of my kids.  I love to take pictures period.  It's something that I thoroughly enjoy doing and I enjoy the product of it.  I literally have boxes of pictures, probably some from more than 15 years back. 

Anyhow, this blog will be about my adventures in photography as I learn and grow as a photographer and hopefully produce some great images.  Won't it be fun to find out what emotions my viewers feel when they see the photographs I have taken?  I'm totally stoked and absolutely ready to go! 

Will try to get some older pictures up tonight and  post more as I take them!  Have a great weekend!
